Happy New Year!
With a new year comes new opportunities and challenges. We are looking forward to working through both of those together with you! One of the biggest changes this year for many of you will be the new SECURE Act, so our first blog post of the year will have a special focus on this topic with summary and information regarding the impacts you are most likely to experience. We also have a new Retire Wiser class to offer and a big Thank You to those who participated in our First Annual Holiday Food Drive!
The Much-Anticipated SECURE Act and What It Means for YOU
2020 is really starting off with a bang! The stock market continues to go up, there are a lot of political events taking place now as well as throughout the year, and we have had The Setting Every Community Up for Retirement Enhancement, or SECURE Act, legislation. While all of the above will affect most of all of us in one way or another, the one piece that we can control is how we react and use the new SECURE Act legislation. We have therefore put together a summary of the changes that are most likely going to impact you, our clients, and the other most important changes impacting peoples lives. Please click here take a look at this very important information as you get ready for the new year.
New Retire Wiser Class
We are also offering a new 2-hour Retire Wiser class at The Citadel on January 23 from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM OR on January 28 from 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM. Registration is free, and advanced registration is required. This class answers the top questions that cause anxiety heading into retirement. If you have not attended one of our classes in the past, this is a great opportunity for you to join us. Or if you have friends and family who you believe may benefit from the class, please pass this information along to them. Please click here for the registration link.
Thank You for participating in our Food Drive
Lastly, we would once again like to say THANK YOU to all of you who donated items to our First Annual Holiday Food Drive! We were able to collect three large boxes of food items to bring to ECCO (East Cooper Community Outreach) as well as monetary donations made by you directly to this wonderful organization. Thank you again and we plan on organizing another Food Drive in December of this year. Stay tuned!
With that we wish you all the best in 2020! Until next time.
