Feeling the Love?

“Love comforteth like sunshine after rain.” —William Shakespeare

Happy Valentines Day.png

With last week's market volatility we want to reiterate our strategy of staying the course with your investments. We had several conversations with our clients last week to remind them that volatility is a normal part of the market cycles and also to give them the continued confidence that they are doing the right things.

If you have a friend or a family member who you think could benefit from the same high level of professional advice we would encourage you to have them contact us to see if we can help.

We also want to remind you that global stock markets delivered robust gains once again in the fourth quarter, and for the first time ever, the S&P 500 rose every month of a calendar year (2017). We want to take this opportunity to cover two pertinent topics this month that may be on your mind: the new tax law and how it could affect you, and an enlightening piece that helps to demystify the cryptocurrency Bitcoin.

It’s easy to stay invested and stick with your plan with the record gains we’ve seen recently, but the fundamentals of sound, long-term investing remain no matter which way the markets are headed. Last week's wild ride should be no different. We hope you enjoy this month's blog post and we wish you all a Happy Valentine's Day.

Last quarter’s video updates examine various performance data in both domestic and international markets, including low volatility and a look at block chain technology and crypto-currencies.

Though it is not issued by a central bank or backed by any nation state, some see potential in the currency’s blockchain technology.
